Tile and grout floors can be a great addition to any home or office space. Tile floors tend to be resistant to high traffic and accidents but easy to maintain. Despite that, tiles and grout can suffer from a buildup of dirt. Mopping and scrubbing go a long way, but after a certain amount of time, your floors will need more serious tile and grout cleaning.
Grout is a porous material and absorbs dirt that accumulates on top. When you mop tiles, you remove some of the dirt, while embedding the rest. This results in grout lines changing colors and looking dull. Unfortunately, scrubbing doesn’t help when it comes to this. If you want to keep your office, business, or home spotless, this can be a stubborn problem.
We encourage anyone who wants to take on tile floor cleaning, but we have to be honest with you, it’s not an easy task. There are a lot of cleaning products out there, but nothing beats commercial solutions. Whether you need cleaning for your apartment, house, or place of business, it’s best to call experienced cleaners. If you want to get real results in the least amount of time, you should always contact professionals that know how to clean tile floors. Cleaning with the wrong chemical will destroy your grout.
Our Floor Cleaning Process
We have four steps in every elite services cleaning process that are almost always the same no matter which task we take on:
- Pre-inspection: Before we apply any products or use any tools, we need to inspect your floor. A trained technician will determine the best type of treatment and a suitable cleaning agent.
- Pre-treatment: With the inspection over, we can apply an alkaline-based solution that helps with cleaning.
- Steam cleaning: Next, we can use a steam cleaner that combines a high water pressure and vacuum to do a deep cleaning of your tile and grout. This unit attaches to our van and pressure washes the floor while vacuuming up the dirt and water.
- Stain treatment: If any stains remain after steam cleaning, we use a pretreatment that is acid-based. This step removes a thin layer of grout along with the stain. You shouldn’t worry about this step because you will not be able to tell that we’ve removed any grout. To finish up, we rinse the floor once more.
After the cleaning of tile floors is complete, we can add a color seal or clear seal. This step adds extra protection to your grout. Both sealers take up to a day to cure. During this time you should avoid any liquids from getting onto the floor.
The clear sealer penetrates into the grout and forms a barrier that helps repel stains and dirt. Additionally, this step helps produce better cleaning results later on.
We use our color sealer for grout when nothing else can help with stains and discoloration. Our exclusive method can restore a uniform color and acts as a waterproof seal at the same time.
